Low Power Complementary Organic Comparators

چکیده

In this work, we present a novel organic complementary comparator constructed of Pentacene P-channel and Fullerene N-channel thin-film transistors. These organic semiconductor materials are chosen due to their popularity and high effect-field mobility. We fabricated two new organic fieldeffect transistor types, then we measured key parameters in order to create models being used in integrated circuit simulation. With the supporting of an organic process design kit (OPDK) that is built firstly by University of Minnesota, the authors model successfully new organic thin-film transistors. Next, complicate circuits are designed and simulated in complementary technology, such as logic gates, amplifiers, and ultra-low power comparators as well. The proposed comparator dissipates only 790,2 nW at 5 V power supply voltage, 1 KHz clock pulse, and 200 Hz, 200 mV peak-to-peak input differential signal.
